William Dante Holstrom

Bill Holstrom of Pike Sandy Township passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 11th, 2025, at the age of 73.

William Dante Holstrom was born to Conrad and Luella Holstrom. Bill grew up in Virginia, Minnesota.

He served in the Navy and returned after his service to marry Doris Imberg and raise his son in the wilderness north of Virginia.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Randy.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; his son, Cole, and his wife Erica; his grandchildren, Dante, Charlotte and George Holstrom; his sister, Patti, and her husband Grant Williams; and niece, Taylor.

Bill was a quiet man who was as profoundly deep as the ponds he created. His sense of humor, generosity, and empathy will be forever missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to savethechildren.org, as he was deeply concerned with the welfare of Ukrainian children impacted by the recent war.

A service will be held Friday, May 23rd, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Vineyard Church in Eveleth Minnesota. Pastor Joshua Dowdy will be officiating.
