Taimi Orvokki (Kamunen) Johnson

Taimi Orvokki (Kamunen) Johnson of Chisholm, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the age of 94, at Heritage Manor in Chisholm, Minnesota.

She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Cheryl Mae Johnson of Apple Valley; daughter-in-law, Theressa Johnson of Chisholm; two grandsons, Adam and Michael Johnson of Chisholm; and by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Jules Johnson; son, Bruce Alvin Johnson; parents, Oscar & Nellie Kamunen; sisters: Bertha Maki, Martha Kyllonen, Laila (Imberg) Lindquist, Siiri Packa, Minerva Imberg; and brothers: Herbert, Tero, Armas, and Valo Kamunen.

There will be a Memorial Gathering for family and friends at the Range Funeral Home in Virginia, Minnesota, on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with cookies, sandwiches, and coffee available during the gathering. Handicap accessible parking is available in the back parking lot of Range Funeral Home in Virginia, Minnesota.

Precious Paws is where Taimi got her cat, Bandit, from. He was a great companion to her, especially during Covid and her later years. Please consider donating in memory of Taimi.
