Susan “Susie” (Randall) Sutich, 73, of Cotton, MN, passed away on March 11, 2026, following complications from a five-month battle with cancer, which she fought until the very end.
Susie was born in 1952 to Howard and Violet (Koski) Randall. She graduated from Cotton High School. She worked at The Wilbert Cafe in Cotton, Norwest Bank in Eveleth, Queen City Federal Bank in Virginia, and finally Inland Steel Mining Company in Virginia, from which she retired.
Susie dearly loved her husband of 39 years, Steve Sutich, who has been her devoted partner, biggest fan, and loving caregiver for all these years.
Susie adored spending time with her family and close friends and she cherished her quiet country life. She even had a flock of feathered friends, making her a chicken tender for a while. Susie was happy when she was gardening, cooking, baking, and making trips to Bachman’s. She knew every word from every song from the 60s — and loved to belt them out in the car. One of her greatest joys was snuggling and spoiling her beloved Bernese Mountain Dogs, Luka and Willow.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Sutich; children Eric (Melissa) Dormanen of Gilbert and Jennifer (Jason) Janisch of Hibbing; grandchildren Bella Janisch; Josselyn, Dylan, Cody, and Marley Sutich; Emily Haugen; Braylon, Alleigh, and Brady Sutich; step-grandchildren Kelly Hakala and Caleb (Madeline) Hakala; brothers Alan (Lonnie) Randall, John (Kris) Randall, and sister Robyn Randall (Tom Fitzpatrick); brother-in-law Nick Sutich; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-sons Geoff Sutich and Greg Sutich; nephew Dustin Randall; and sister-in-law Kathy Sutich.
Susie’s Summer Send-off will be planned at a later date.
