Steven Mark Morrisette

Steven Mark Morrisette, age 69, formerly of Mt Iron, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, in Saint Paul, MN.

A Funeral service is planned for Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Virginia, MN at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.

Steven was born March 6, 1954 in Arlington, MN to James and Eileen (Haggenmiller) Morrisette.

Upon graduation from Arlington-Green Isle High School in 1972, Steve went on to attend Mankato Area Vocational Technical Institute. He received technical degrees in television and electronics repair along with appliance repair.

In 1977, Steve moved to Virginia to work for Jenia’s Appliance & TV as an appliance repair technician for 43 years before retiring.

Steve was united in marriage on June 16, 1984 to Carolyn Vaudrin.

He loved visiting with others and could strike up a conversation with anyone anywhere. He enjoyed fishing (especially ice fishing with his granddaughter), woodworking, working on various equipment and helping anyone out with projects. He was the Merritt Day’s Committee president for several years along with the treasurer for the Friends of the Library. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Church in Mountain Iron and the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Virginia where he was an usher.

Steven is survived by his daughter, Stephanie and Peter Walls; granddaughter, Alma Walls; sister, Susan Morrisette.
 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; parents, James and Eileen.
