Stanley Jack Sippola

Stanley J. Sippola, 74, of Virginia, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at St. Raphael's Heath and Rehab in Eveleth. Per his request, no services will be held. Stanley Jack Sippola was born December 14, 1943 in Virginia to Sulo Sippola and Irene (Eklund, Sippola) Walkki. He graduated from Mountain Iron High School in 1962 and served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1965. He married Delores Bard on June 22, 1968 and they enjoyed nearly 50 years together. He worked as a machinist, retiring in 2004. He was a member of the American Legion and the Plymouth Lions Club.

Stan was an avid runner and completed 43 full marathons. He enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, and being Papa to his three grandchildren.

He is survived by:

Son: Jeff (Becky) Sippola
Grandchildren: John, William, and Eveliina
Siblings: Andrea (Milt) Jones; Louise (Kris) Fleming; and Jim (Vicki) Sippola
