Sheri Ellen (Wilson) LaBarge

Sheri Ellen LaBarge, age 57, of Hibbing, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing with her twin sister by her side.

Sheri was born on July 4, 1967 and besides her twin had three other siblings. She was born in Gary, Indiana but grew up and lived in Elgin, Illinois before moving to Minnesota.

Sheri married James Joseph LaBarge and longtime partner on February 29th, 2016 in Key West while on a cruise with her twin sister and brother-in-law. She said that was the happiest day of her life. Sadly he lost a battle with cancer on July 8th, 2018. She also battled cancer but won the fight.

Sheri loved to sing and dance while out having a few beers with her many friends. In her quiet time she liked to work on puzzles to relax. She was a long time employee at Head 'O Lakes Resort in Cook and couldn't wait for the work season to start every year. For the last year she was working as a caregiver at Faces North in Hibbing as well.

Sheri was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn Wilson; her husband, Jimmy; and oldest sister, Patricia Greiner. Still living are her sisters, Teri (Carl) Nordquist and Denise (Lloyd) Holze; brother, Patric Brandenburg; step son, Josh LaBarge; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed!

A service will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Range Funeral Home in Hibbing. Visitation will be at noon with the service starting at 1:00.
