Ruth E. Hutkowski

Ruth (Taskinen) Hutkowski died peacefully on June 18, 2023, in Virginia, MN. She was born on February 18, 1926, in Sandy Township and was United in marriage to Carl Hutkowski on July 8, 1948.

Ruth is survived by her children: Carl Jr. (Marcy) Hutkowski, Gayle (Tom) Young, and Peter Hutkowski. She was a proud grandmother to Sara (Mitch) Olson, Jessica (Aaron) Hancock, Joy (Nathan) Bemboom, Christine (Garth) Carlson, Nathan (Alexis) Young, Brandon (Miranda) Hutkowski, Dylan Hutkowski, and Kale Hutkowski; and a great-grandmother to 14 great-grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished spending time with them, creating memories that will be remembered by all.

Ruth loved her flowers, knitting, sewing and baking. Her baking was a true labor of love, and her family will always cherish the memories made in the kitchen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hutkowski; parents; and siblings.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Eveleth, MN. The visitation will begin one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Virginia, MN.
