Rosetta L. Dufault, 97, of Hibbing, MN, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 24, 2025, surrounded by family. A woman of quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering devotion to others, Rosetta lived a long and meaningful life rooted in love and quiet and humble service.
Rosetta was born on May 10, 1928, in Grand Rapids, MN.
Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick C. and Lillian Sampson: and her brother, Chester Sampson.
She is survived by her beloved sister, Eunice LaPlant(95) of Grand Rapids, MN.
Though she led much of her life in solitude, Rosetta’s days were filled with purpose, grace, and compassion. Her faith guided her, and her acts of kindness touched all who knew her. She was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, and a loyal friend.
Rosetta leaves behind five cherished children and their spouses or fiancé(e)s: Frederick G. Dufault, Lillian Frider, Loren Dufault, Marlana Babb, and Danita Kolstad. Her legacy continues through her 13 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 32 great-great-grandchildren, each a testament to the love and care she poured into her family.
Rosetta’s life will be honored in a private family and friends graveside service at the Hibbing Park/Maple Hill Cemetery (Intersection Hwy 169 & Hwy 73), June 7, 2025 at 9:00AM. With a Celebration of Life immediately following, at the Minnesota Discovery Center, Chisholm, MN.
