Ronald "Ron" Hill Obituary
It is with great sorrow we announce that Ronald E. Hill, age 89, passed away on November 5th, 2024.
Ron was born on September 18th, 1935, to Emil and Hild Hill in Vermilion Township, Minnesota.
He met, Madonna J. "Donna" Karpan, later in life; and the two later got married on June 23rd, 1978. They lived in Virginia, Minnesota for many years.
Ron was a very hard and dedicated worker. He worked as a subcontractor for the Duluth News Tribune for over 30 years. He also drove and delivered papers until he was 83 years old; going all the way to International Falls, Minnesota.
He is survived by his daughter, Gayle Hill of Virginia, MN; step-daughter, Jean (Terry) Rollins; sister, Viola Salo; nephew, Jon Salo of Eveleth, MN; four grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; parents, Emil and Hild; brother, Raymond Hill; sister, Ruth; and step-sisters, Jean and Kay Salo.
A celebration of Ron's life will be Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, at the Pike Apostolic Lutheran Church (6997 Oberg Rd, Embarrass, MN 55732) with visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. and the celebration starting at 1:00 p.m.
