Richard L. Maki

Richard Leslie Maki, age 67, of Buhl, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at his residence.

Richard was born on October 24, 1955 to Martin and Gertrude (Antilla) Maki in Cook, Minnesota.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents. Richard is survived by brothers William (Peggy) Maki of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Robert Maki of Ridgecrest, California; Nephews Jeff Maki of Los Angeles, California and Chris (Krista) Maki of Ridgecrest, California; and Nieces Karen (Jeff) Hampton of Noblesville, Indiana and Susan (Brian) Hipp of Crestwood, Missouri.

Richard grew up with his brothers on a small farm in Angora and graduated from Cook High School (now North Woods School) before ending up in Buhl, Minnesota. He worked for the Post Office for several years and enjoyed a quiet, peaceful life with his cat. Richard was an avid walker and was often found exploring the area on his walks.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Range Funeral Home, 911 16th St N, Virginia, Minnesota. Private family burial to follow.
