Richard John Fossum

Richard "Dick" J. Fossum, 77, of Virginia, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at St. Raphael's Health and Rehab in Eveleth. A memorial service will be held Wednesday February 7, 2018 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Virginia at 11:00 am with visitation one-hour prior. Pastor Nathan Sager will officiate. Military Honors will be accorded by the Virginia Honor Guard. Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home in Virginia. Richard John Fossum was born May 23, 1940 in Virginia to Theodore and Leona (Richnofsky) Fossum. He graduated from Virginia High School where he was an outstanding athlete, playing hockey and football. Richard served in the U.S. Army. On May 8, 1971, he was united in marriage to Pearl Imberg in Virginia. Richard lived and worked in Virginia his entire life. He has spent the last 14 years struggling with health issues.

Richard loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was a member of the Virginia Servicemen's Club and a former member of the Chisholm Drum & Bugle Corps.
