Randall M. Flom, 78, died Sunday, April 12, 2026, at his home in Orr, Minn.
He was born March 6, 1948, grew up in Makinen, and graduated from Cotton High School in 1966. He married Nancy (Nygaard) on October 11, 1969. They established multiple iterations of homes in Aurora, Palo, West Virginia, Orr, and North Carolina. Randall attended Mesabi Junior College and Appalachian Bible College in West Virginia. He worked as a plumber and millwright in the local mines, pastored churches in Orr and Swansboro, NC, offered services as a handyman, drove delivery trucks and busses, and did many other jobs.
Randall put his faith in Jesus as his Savior at the age of ten. Throughout his life, he was zealous for others to be reconciled to God by trusting in Jesus’s death, burial, and resurrection for the forgiveness of sins and hope of eternal life.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy; their children: Paul (Jen), Merri (Ron) Swanson, Anja (Drew) Kalvoda, Andrew (Jessica), and Karis (Robert) Antikainen; 19 grandchildren; 5 great-grandkids; his brother, David (Linda) Leinonen; and his sisters, Debra (Richard) Smouse and Sandra Flom.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tauno and Amanda Flom; brother, Daniel; sisters, Delores and Dianne; and father-in-law, Harlan Nygaard.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Trail Bible Church with visitation prior at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Eveleth Cemetery.
