Quentin Edward Paoletti, affectionately known by his loved ones as Butchy, passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 81.
Born on March 20, 1944, in Eveleth, Minnesota, Butchy lived a full and vibrant life. Surrounded by the familiar comforts of the community he grew so fond of; he drew his last breath in Virginia, Minnesota, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Butchy was a devoted husband to his wife, Robin, and a pillar of strength for his family. He cherished every moment spent with his brother, Terry; sister, Janice Klun; and his children—Rick, Paul and Lady Diana and Brandie Elise. A doting grandfather, he found immense joy in the laughter and love of his grandchildren: Ricky, Ava, Justin, Stephanie Thomas, Bethany Nygaard Dwyer, and Karli Thomas; as well as his great-grandchildren, Milan and George. The legacy of Butchy’s kind spirit, zest for life, and unwavering love for his family will live on through them.
After a fulfilling career with the Railroad, Butchy retired and devoted his time to the activities he was most passionate about. He loved to play golf and curl throughout his life; as well as hockey, baseball and football in his younger years. He also enjoyed the feeling the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle; Butchy savored every moment with his trademark grin and enthusiastic spirit.
A funeral service for Butchy will be Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the North Star Church (Address: 302 2nd Avenue North) in Virginia, Minnesota, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow.
A celebration of Butchy's life will be held at Flaimer's Bar to be determined at a later date.
