Michael Obert Wedin

Michael O. Wedin, 52, of Britt, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Essentia Health in Virginia. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Wooden Table Inn at 2:00 pm. Michael Obert Wedin was born August 29, 1965 in Hibbing MN to Orville and Donna (DeJarlais) Wedin. He graduated from Cherry High School. He spent years as a fire fighter and a first responder for the Kinney Great Scott Volunteer Fire Department. Michael was a musician who loved to have jam sessions with his friends and family. He poured his heart and soul into his business at the "Wooden Table"

Michael enjoyed going to "the shack". He was a very generous man and loved to help others doing charity rides, collecting donations and giving in any way he could. If you needed a nickel, he'd give you a dime. He had a wonderful sense of humor and many fell victim to his pranks.

He was incredibly caring, a family man and devoted father. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Logan Wedin and Jessica Lantz (Jeff); significant other, Monica Hill; siblings, Chris Luukkonen and Theresa (Leo) Rautio; granddaughter, Rowan; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sandy Dickson; infant daughter, Jackie; and numerous close friends.
