Melissa M. Helf, 45, of Aurora, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 at Essentia Health St. Mary's in Duluth. A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Range Funeral Home at 12:00 pm with visitation one-hour prior. Burial will take place at Waasa Cemetery in Embarrass. Melissa Mary Helf was born March 14, 1973 in Virginia to Daniel and Cynthia (Mattson) Helf. She graduated from Babbitt High School in 1992. For the past 8 years, she has been working at Fortune Bay Casino.

Melissa like playing darts, doing puzzles, and was an avid Vikings fan. She loved spending time with family and friends and riding in her brother's car.

She was strong willed and very independent throughout all her health problems. Her determination and smile will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her father, Daniel (Carol) Helf; brother, Brian Helf; niece, Tiffany (John) Zuponcic; grand-nieces, Ciani, Cynthia, and Cecilia Zuponcic; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins

She was preceded in death by her mother, Cynthia; sister, Gail; grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles
