Matthew Sean Bukal

On Wednesday, January 10, Matthew Sean Bukal, age 36, died as a result of a major cerebral hemorrhage. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Range Funeral Home. He was an amazing father to his only child, Oscar, who was the light of his life. He was more than that though; he was a partner and best friend to Oscar's mother, Jenny Markwardt and a wonderful step-father to Jenny's daughter, Kira Hoole. Together they all made an incredible family. They loved each other with such a depth and respect that it was a beautiful thing to see and to watch.

Matt was the youngest of four sons to David Bukal and Mary Persons. He was beloved by both and their world will be forever changed by this. His step-father, Joe Persons, also loved him very much and Matt was always there for him every summer to help with the haying and Matt's willingness to give up his own time off to help was so very much appreciated.
He was also the youngest of three brothers; his older brother, Dustin, passed away six years ago and we are all sure those two are together again. Matt also loved his two older brothers, Christopher Bukal and Jesse Bukal, very much and in turn was very much loved by them. The were more than brothers, they were each other's best friend and confidante.

Matt had a heart of gold. He was willing to help anyone, anytime. He was compassionate, funny, intelligent, humble, generous, he could fix anything, and was there if and whenever you needed him.

With his death, Matt also became a hero by donating his organs to LifeSource.org.

Matthew is survived by his son, Oscar; step-daughter, Kira; his love, Jenny Markwardt; father, David Bukal of Embarrass; mother and step-father, Mary and Joseph Persons of Cotton; brothers, Jesse (Lianne Cimperman) Bukal of Robbinsdale and Christopher (Megan) Bukal of Maple Grove; nephews, Jacob, Dominick, and Elijah Bukal; and nieces, Kiara and Isabella Bukal.
