Luanne Linda Lindrud

Luanne Linda Lindrud, 72, of Gilbert, MN peacefully passed away on June 17th, 2024 at her residence. Luanne has lived in a group home since the passing of her parents. This has been her residence for the last 24 years.

Luanne had a passion for spending time with family and friends, eating out any chance she could, riding in the company van (Which she affectionately called, “My van…”) and hanging out with her housemates & staff. Her favorite foods to eat were chocolate & pizza.

Luanne is survived by her sister, Sharon Holmbeck, Forbes; her brother, Martin J. (Gail) Lindrud, Forbes; nephew, Eric Holmbeck, Forbes; and niece, Nikki Lindrud (Scott Buria), Iron.

Luanne was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Linda Lindrud; niece, Dawn Carlson; great nephew, Anders Carlson; and nephew, Jeffrey Lindrud.

The Lindrud and Holmbeck families would like to thank the NHS Douglas house staff and housemates for the love and support they have shown to Luanne and our families throughout the years.

A memorial service will be held at Faith United Lutheran Church (8964 Hwy 37, Iron, MN) on Friday, July 12th, 2024. Pastor Christina Kadelbach will officiate. Visitation is scheduled for 10 am and the service will immediately follow at 11 am. The Lindrud and Holmbeck families invite you to join them for lunch following the service to share memories and stories.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
