Lorraine J. Turnham, 85, of Virginia, Eveleth, and Gilbert, Minnesota peacefully passed away at Saint Raphael’s nursing home in Eveleth on September 17, 2017. A private family service was held. She was born on December 21, 1931 in Los Angeles, CA. Daughter to Mabel (nee Prideaux) and Harold Hague, longtime companion of the late Keith Parks of Gilbert, Minnesota. Loving mother of Sharon Brady, (Dennis) Gail Dennis (Denny), Tom Flake (deceased) (Mary Ann), Mark Wilbur (Nancy), Joanna Hambly (Spike), and Pete Weddell. Beloved grandmother of 20, and great-grandmother of 33.
Lorraine was known and loved by many for her love of life, inquisitive spirit, her humor, and her ability to celebrate just about anything. She was also a champion for the underdog.
She worked as a waitress, but had a passion for acting. She was involved in the Northern Lights Players. She loved dancing to polka music, and was the life of the party.
Lorraine was also deeply religious and loved church.
