Levi Charles Greenwood, also known as Chungus, passed away on December 9, 2023, at the age of 20 in Calumet, Mn. He was born on July 22, 2003, in Hibbing, Mn. Levi was a shy and quiet individual, but he had a heart that was larger than life. He always found the best in every situation and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Levi cherished his family and considered his parents to be his heroes. His brother Brad remembers him as a little kid with a chubby round face. Levi was polite, respectful, and always put others before himself. He was the glue that held his friendships together, and if he missed an event, it just wasn't the same without him. Levi loved going to Uncle Bob's cabin and was everyone's favorite bean bag partner.
Levi had a special bond with his little sister Luna and loved her to pieces. He was his mother's rock and his father's best friend. Levi was known for his selflessness and would have given the shirt off his back for anyone. He genuinely loved life and brought joy to those around him.
Levi is survived by his father, Jeramy Greenwood (Justine Guddek), and his mother, Jo Anna Huusko (Darin Mousseau). He is also survived by his brothers Brad Lawrence, Chase Knaffla, Dustin and Dash Guddek, Corey, Jared, and Blake Mousseau, and his sisters Luna Greenwood, Halo Howsen, Jessica, and Saige Mousseau. Levi is also survived by his great-grandmother Shirley Huusko, and his grandparents Larry and Maxine Greenwood. He leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Charles Huusko and Michele Johnson.
Levi attended East Range Academy of Technology and Science for high school and later pursued higher education at Mesaba Range Technical College. He had a successful career as an environmental cleanup specialist for OSI in Eveleth, Mn.
In his free time, Levi enjoyed various hobbies including music, fishing, camping, playing darts and bean bags, and spending time with his family and friends. He also had a passion for cars and trucks, board games, playing video games, skateboarding, biking, and jet skiing.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Maple Hill Community Center. Visitation will take place from 2:00-3:00, followed by a service at 3:00 officiated by Pastor Will Mowchan. After the service, there will be food, music, and an opportunity to reminisce and celebrate Levi's life.
Levi Charles Greenwood, also known as Chungus, will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May his memory live on in the hearts of those he touched.
The Range Funeral Home in Hibbing, Mn, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
