Called home to join her beloved husband Porky on the anniversary of his passing, Leila passed away peacefully and we are comforted knowing that she has rejoined those she loved. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at Range Funeral Home in Virginia at 2:00 pm with visitation one-hour prior. Pastor Steve Weston will officiate. Leila H. Fowler was born October 9, 1933 in Virginia to William and Katherine (Pesola) Walden. Her early schooling was interrupted by T.B. Leila spent three years in Nopheming and later received her GED. She helped run the family farm until she took a job at VRMC. On March 11, 1997, she was united in marriage to Eugene "Porky" Fowler in Mesa, AZ.
Leila enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, baking, cooking, traveling, and she loved animals, especially her fur baby Teddy Bear.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Raphael's for their wonderful care and compassion.
She is survived by:

Bill Drieman of Stillwater
Grandchildren: Lyn (Dr. Shakeel) Kahn, Kristen (Vincente) Pantoja, Jennifer (Ron) Nelson, Peter Folman, and Mindy Folman
Great Grandchildren: Shaina, Dustin, Austin, William, Ashley, Alex, and Adaam
Sister: Elaine Lydy
Numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and other great friendships built throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene "Porky" Fowler; and sister, Jean Ellefson
