Joseph "Al" Paoletti

Joseph Albert Paoletti Jr. passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 86.

Joseph was born on September 23, 1939, in Springfield, MO. For most of his career, Joseph was employed by the Illinois Industrial Commission as a court reporter. Following that, he began his freelance court reporting business in downstate Illinois.

Joseph enjoyed the solitude of his log cabin in northern MN, where he spent much time fishing and enjoying the beauty of nature. A gifted man, he could navigate the Boundary Waters with ease. Joseph was an avid reader who always had a journal in his pocket.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Margaret; three daughters, V. Ann Wesley (Mark), Margy Paoletti, and Janine Paoletti; three granddaughters, Sarah Hookman (Nate), Jenna Chapman (Angus), and Alex Edwards (Travis); three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, in the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Orr, MN, followed by interment at the Calvary Cemetery in Virginia.
