John William Tuomela

John William Tuomela passed away on March 11th, 2025, with his family by his side at Aspirus St. Lukes Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota.

John Tuomela was born on November 7th, 1946, in Virginia, Minnesota.

He was a proud member of the Teamster Union, and a Vietnam Veteran.

In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors and enjoying life with his lifelong Britt friends.

In his older years he enjoyed watching his grandkids play and looked forward to family get togethers.

John is survived by his brother, Vernon Tuomela; children: William Tuomela (Amanda), Pete Ralston (Dawn), Greg Ralston (Tiffany), and Sylvia Ralston; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sulo and Helmi Tuomela; his son, Nick Tuomela; wife, Roberta Rae (Johnson) Tuomela; niece, Tammy; and his closest friends Bob, Jim, and Rayma.

A celebration of life will begin on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Range Funeral Home in Virginia, Minnesota, with the visitation being held at 2:00 p.m.
