Janice was born on October 22nd, 1941 to John “Figgy” and Pauline “Dolly” Ritacco in Eveleth, MN. She attended Eveleth High School and graduated in 1959. She married Robert “Butch” Kintner on July 23rd, 1962. Together they raised two sons, Bobby and Scott, and lived in Parkville throughout their marriage. Janice was a full-time mother and wife and enjoyed attending hockey and football games as well as the races when her son Bobby began his dirt track career. Janice spent much of her time with her grandchildren and loved them with all her heart. Over the years, she enjoyed playing Santa Claus at local businesses and became involved with the Sand Lake Shuffle when her husband was diagnosed with cancer, and she was a co-captain of the “Kintner Racing” team until this last summer. She had many friends and was known for her famous response when asked how she was doing, “short, fat, and sassy!”

The family would like to thank the staff at Cornerstone Villa and would also like to thank the Fairview Northstar Hospice team for the exceptional care Janice received over the last months of her life.

Janice is survived by her son Scott Kintner of Minneapolis, MN; daughter-in-law Karla Kintner of Parkville, MN; granddaughter Maddy Kintner of Bemidji, MN; grandsons Casey and Riley Kintner of Parkville, MN; sister Jackie (Bob) Sedgeman of Eveleth, MN; brother John Ritacco of Parkville, MN; brother Rich Ritacco of Virginia, MN; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends as well as her granddog Smudge.
