Howard Gillman Obituary

Howard Dale Gillman, 91, of Chisholm, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Heritage Manor in Chisholm. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home in Hibbing.

Howard was born March 9, 1926 in Dassel, MN to Edward and Florence (Edwards) Gillman. He farmed in Nebish. Howard served in the Navy during World War II from 1944 to 1946. On April 16, 1950 he was united in marriage to Mavis Kruger. He worked in Wilmar as an automotive mechanic for many years, moving to Bemidji in 1967 before retiring at the age of 63. He loved hunting deer and fishing and was a good father and grandfather.

He is survived by:

Great Grandchildren: Dalton Gillman, Peyton and Grayson Gayhart, McKenzie
and Nikolai Gillman

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mavis; brothers, Del, Kelly and Sonny Gillman
