Harley James Sanders, age 31, passed away on August 27th, 2025, at his home in Hibbing, Minnesota.
Harley was born on December 5th, 1993, in Nevada, Missouri, to Alan and Deanna (Derickson) Sanders.
From the moment he was born his smile could light up a room. That smile would carry with him through his childhood and into his adult life and never seemed to fade, even when faced with difficult times. You could always count on Harley’s smile to brighten your day.
A big reason for his wonderful smile was the fact that Harley had one of the kindest souls that you would ever have the honor of meeting. There wasn’t anything that he wouldn’t do for his friends and family and asked for nothing in return except for the joy he received by helping others.
Harley loved to 3d print little trinkets for his family and friends, was an avid skateboarder, rode a wicked one-wheel better than anyone, could cook a meal worthy of a gourmet restaurant, and had the remarkable ability to MacGyver anything broken to make it work again.
Harley is survived by his sister, Amanda (Lucas) Warren; nephew, Mekiyah; grandmas, Carolyn Derickson and Carol Sanders; aunts and uncles: Danny (Connie) Derickson, Judy (Craig) Selander, Steven (Amber) Sanders, and Aimee (John) Anderson; cousins: Samantha, Brett, Jessica, Brittney, Ash, Michelle, Coltan, and Erin; along with countless other friends and family who’s had their lives touched by knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Deanna Sanders; his father, Alan Sanders; and grandpas, Alvin Derickson and Earl Sanders.
A Celebration of Harley's life will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Buhl-Kinney Senior Center in Buhl. Visitation will start one hour prior.
