Born on March 25, 1932, in Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada, Ella's life was marked by an unwavering dedication to her family and an immense capacity for love. She withstood many adversities in life and maintained a positive outlook throughout. Ella had an astounding abundance of emotional resiliency and mental strength. Ella was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Guimond Sr.

Her role as a homemaker was one she cherished deeply, creating a warm and welcoming home. Ella's hands were rarely still, as she found joy in the intricate dance of assembling jigsaw puzzles and the intellectual challenge of crossword puzzles, pursuits that reflected her sharp mind and patient spirit. Her selfless nature was perhaps most evident in her efforts to make anyone and everyone feel at home. Ella's generosity knew no bounds, and her ability to nurture and care for others extended far beyond the confines of her own family. Besides her own children, Eleanor helped raise her grandchildren and she also was a foster parent and baby sitter for other families. She was a source of comfort, a listening ear, and a beacon of guidance for many, embodying the true essence of what it means to love unconditionally. The words loving, generous, and selfless only begin to scratch the surface of who Ella was. Her warm smile and gentle demeanor left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had a unique ability to make each person feel valued and loved, a testament to her deep empathy and understanding of the human heart.
Ella's legacy is one of boundless love and selfless devotion. She was a guiding light in the lives of many, and her memory will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her. Her passing is felt deeply by her family and friends, but the richness of her life and the memories shared will forever remain a cherished part of their lives.
