Edna Pearl (Graves) Nelson

Edna Pearl Nelson, 95, of Hibbing, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Guardian Angels Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hibbing.

Edna was born March 31, 1928 in Park Rapids, Minn to Pearl and Dola Graves. She grew up in Park Rapids where she met and married Harold Nelson. They moved to Hibbing in the early 50's and made it their home, raising two daughters. Edna worked part of her life as a seamstress at the Arrow Shirt Factory. She also was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, reading and spending time with family.

Survivors include her daughters, Pat (Ron) Mihelich and Anna (Steven) Jurenes of Hibbing; grandchildren: Paul (Heather) Bovee of Woodbury; Dustin Bovee of Duluth, and Aprille (Bill) Beyer of Duluth; step-granddaughters, Jaime (Brian) Nicholson and Jenny Andrus; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 2018 and a brother, Charles Graves.

A Memorial service will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023 at the Open Door Church in Hibbing at 1:00 pm with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Pastor Brent Theien will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
