Edna "Marie" Mayer, 91, of Isanti, formerly of Hibbing, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 14th at Grace Lutheran Church in Hibbing at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Pastor Timothy Yearyean will officiate. Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home in Hibbing.
Edna was born January 29, 1926 in Buffalo, MN to Edward and Hazel (Bryant) Henagin. She lived much of her life in Onamia, where she met her husband Raymond. They were united in marriage on August 14, 1946. After living in Side Lake and Pool Location, they moved to Hibbing in 1959.
Edna was a National Honors Society student in high school. She was a 4H leader and was very involved in her church community. Edna was a devoted wife, mother and was a good cook. She baked bread every other day. She loved sewing, feeding the birds, and anything that grew.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; infant son, Dean; daughter, JoAnne; and son, Gary.
