Dorothy M. Jacobson

Dorothy (Brown) Jacobson went to be with her loved ones in Heaven on May 24, 2023, with her family by her side. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 31, 2023 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Mt. Iron at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. There will be a luncheon at the church following the service.

Dorothy was a true "middle child" being the 8th out of 15 children born to Albert and Irene Brown.

Dorothy graduated from Mt. Iron High School.

She was united in marriage to Jack Christianson, and they were blessed with three children: Mary Ann, Randy, and John.

Dorothy graduated from the LPN program and spent her entire nursing career working at the CNCU.

Dorothy later married Ed Jacobson. Ed had three children: Laura, Randy and Kim; prior to getting married to Dorothy.

Dorothy is survived by her children: Mary Ann (Dave) Hansen, Randy (Renee) Christianson and John (Jill) Christianson; six grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Two brothers, Dan (Shirley) Brown, Bob (Wendy) Brown; and two sisters, Edith (Bob) Travers, and Lavon Mapson; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Irene Brown; three grandchildren: Justin, Cody and Mariah; brothers: Willard, Lewis, Glen, Lloyd; and sisters: Luella, Lorraine, Bessie, Mabel, Opal, and Darlene; Husband, Ed; and former husband, Jack.
