Donald Jerry Maickelson

Donald J Maickelson, 78, of Iron passed away October 28th at Cornerstone Villa in Buhl after his journey with cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Range Funeral Home in Virginia on Saturday November 4th at 12 pm. Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home in Virginia. Don was born in November 3rd, 1938 to Waino and Limie (Eilola) Maickelson. He attended school at Cherry and worked at LTV Steel until his retirement. Don enjoyed fishing and stock car racing with the love of his life Connie. His greatest joy was his grandson Christopher and his great grandson Alexander.

He is survived by his son, Ronald Maickelson of Hibbing, daughter Kathy Maickelson of Iron, Sister Darlene (Randy) Darvell of Iron, grandsons Christopher (Julia) Palmquist of St Paul, Kyrin Rice of Chisholm, granddaughters Jaden Mankus and Sage Mankus of Chisholm, and great grandson Alexander and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Connie, daughter Lynda Palmquist, his parents Waino and Limie, Brother Bill Davey, sister Margie Stenroos, Sister Dorothy Mitchell and nephews Jim and Kevin Davey.
