Delores Mae Long

Delores M. Long, 82, of Virginia, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at her residence. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Range Funeral Home at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home in Virginia. Delores Mae Long was born November 7, 1935 in Gatzke, MN to Erwin and Emma (Johnson) Heaton, the youngest of 4 children and was a twin. She attended school in Gatzke until she was 12 at which time she moved to Thief River Falls and graduated high school at the age of 17. She worked numerous jobs in a wide range of occupations, tending to work at least two jobs at a time.

Delores liked coffee, dancing, softball and baseball, laughing, reading, and spending time with family. She was a spirited person and an independent woman who enjoyed adventures, flea markets, buying and selling on Ebay.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Emma; brother, Wallace Heaton; sons-in-law, Robert Koskela and William Weese; brother-in-law, Wilson Wardwell; and sister-in-law, Patricia Heaton
