Debbie Lynne (Thomas) Perslin

Debbie Lynne Perslin, 73, of Virginia, passed away on April 29, 2026, surrounded by her family, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Debbie was born on August 19, 1952, to Arthur and Margaret Thomas in Virginia, MN. Debbie grew up and lived most of her life in Virginia. On June 15, 1974, Debbie married Larry Perslin, and enjoyed a loving marriage of 51 years.

Debbie retired from HG Harvey Construction, where she worked in the office, and took great pleasure in her work.

Debbie loved to cook, bake, read and try new recipes, and was especially fond of creating and decorating beautiful cakes. She was an avid lover of music, dancing and curling. Most of all, Debbie loved spending time with her family and friends. She cherished many joyous years at Lake Kabetogama in the cabin that her parents built. Going to the cabin was one of Debbie's favorite things to do, especially when fresh Walleye was on the menu. Debbie was a very outgoing, social person who easily made friends wherever she went. Her grandson, Steven, was the apple of her eye, and she absolutely adored being a grandma.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Larry Perslin; her son, James Perslin; beloved daughter-in-law, Holly Perslin; her grandson, Steven Perslin; and loving niece, Lisa Thomas.

Debbie was preceded in death by her daughter, Loralyn Joy Thomas (Perslin); her parents; and her sisters, Joan Gustason and Harriet Thomas.

A funeral service for Debbie will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Range Funeral Home Chapel in Virginia, MN, at 1:00 p.m. with the visitation being at 12:00 p.m. and the burial to follow the service at the Calvary Cemetery in Virginia, MN.
