David "Dave" Ray Pardus

David "Dave" Ray Pardus, age 68, of Britt, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at his residence.

Dave was born on December 29, 1955 to Marilyn M. (Ritacco) Pardus and Earl R. Pardus in Virginia, MN. When Dave was one year old, the family moved to Britt, MN and resided there for the rest of his life.

He graduated from the Roosevelt Sr. High School, Virginia in 1974.

Dave began working at US Steel Minntac in 1974, and retired in 2004. Dave was united in marriage to Anne Russo on July 25, 1988.

He was an avid fisherman in his younger years; enjoying being a guide on Leech Lake at Federal Dam. Dave also enjoyed bird and deer hunting, boating, snowmobiling, four wheeling, and had recently began gardening. He had a soft spot for all animals. Dave also really enjoyed feeding the deer, watching anything space related, racing, bowling, and creating embroidery designs with his home business, Northwoods Embroidery.

Dave is survived by his wife, Anne Pardus; brothers: Barry (Kelly Wiley) Pardus, Paul (Kim) Pardus, and Brian Pardus; his sister-in-law, Margaret Hansen; sister-in-law, Judy (Cal) Peterson; and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn; father, Earl; mother-in-law, Ann C. Russo; brother-in-law, Larry Hansen; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Rentz and her husband, Erich Rentz.
