Daniel Phillip Staudahar

Daniel Phillip Staudahar, 87, of Virginia, died Friday, April 14, 2023. 

Daniel was born on June 27, 1935, in Virginia, MN. After graduating from high school, he began working in the Oliver Shops and later transferred to Minntac US Steel in Mt. Iron, where he retired after 44 years.

Daniel met Patricia Lindgren on a blind date in Superior, WI, and they were later married on Sept 15, 1956, in Virginia. He loved bowling, watching sporting events, and classic cars. Daniel also was an umpire for little league baseball. He was a member of the Elks and Moose Lodges in Virginia.

Daniel is survived by a daughter, Cathy Jo (Lance) Berg of Rochester, MN; son, Tom Staudahar; sisters, Margaret (D. Marvin) Hill and Rosemary Strumbell; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother Frank; and son, Robert, in infancy.

A celebration of life will be held at Range Funeral Home in Virginia, MN, on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 2 pm, with visitation beginning at 1 pm.
