Christine C. Trenholm

Christine C. Trenholm of Makinen, went home to be with Jesus on March 31, 2025, at the age of 83.

Christine was born on December 23, 1941, to Vaino and Vieno Walkama.

Christine attended and graduated from Cotton High School in 1959.

She married Don Trenholm on July 23, 1960. She was a loving and devoted mother to her daughter, Dawn Renee, and son, Wayne.

Christine truly lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, playing piano, listening to music, reading, and her church family. She was an avid traveler after her husband, Don, passed away in January of 2000.

She is survived by Wayne (Lori) Trenholm; granddaughters: Dannelle Peres, Nikki (William Schultz) Thomas, and Sheralyn (Steve) Burja; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister, Donna (Emil) Jalonen.

She was preceded in death by husband, Don Trenholm; daughter, Dawn Renee Trenholm; her parents; and sisters, Lucy Carlson and Elsie Tapio.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Makinen Community Center. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m.
