Christina Lorrance Hurd

Christina Lorrance (Bangen) Hurd, 74, of Mountain Iron, MN passed away on September 29th, 2018, at St. Michael's Health and Rehabilitation Center in Virginia. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Range Funeral Home, Virginia MN. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Christina (Bangen) Hurd was born on July 29th, 1944, in Epson Surrey, England to Vera and Lawrence Costello. She came to Canada in April of 1945. Christina was raised in Rainy River and Fort Frances, Ontario, then moved to International Falls in 1962. She became a citizen of the United States in 1976. Christina worked in Boise Cascade for 18 years, and School District 361 for 8 years in International Falls. She moved to Mountain Iron in 1993.

Christina is survived by her Husband, Rodney Hurd, of Mt. Iron, MN; Daughter, Sandra (Tod) Swanson, of Blaine, MN; Son, Kevin (Barb) Bangen, of Wyoming, MN; Stepsons, Timothy (Jackie) Hurd, of Grand Rapids, MN and Todd (Tiffany) Hurd, of Burleson, TX; Grandchildren: Travis, Jessica, and Eli Swanson; Step-grandchildren: Chris Norby, McKenzie, Maverick, and Maximus Hurd; Numerous Great-Grandchildren; Sisters: Ronnie (Bob) Henley, of Winnepeg, MB, Lynne (Harry) Harrell, of Grand View, MB, and Teresa (Michael) Boucher, of Vancouver, BC; Brother: Clifford (Tracie) Costello, of Rainy River, ON

Christina was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Lawrence Costello.
