Charles Michael "Charlie" Johnson, who passed away on December 5, 2023, due to an aortic aneurysm. He was born on July 16, 1959, in Eveleth, Minnesota.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Johnson; mother, Mary Ann Johnson; siblings: Greg (Pam) Johnson, Susan Tyssedal, Joseph (Kerrie) Johnson, Mitchell (Ericka) Johnson, and Angela (David) Marolt; children: Jeremiah (Lana Jo) Johnson, Jessica (Chris) Johnson, Joseph Johnson, and Julia Johnson; as well as his stepchildren: Nicole (Joe) Schaub, Ryan Milos, David, Jason, Justin, and Angie. Numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Johnson.
A graduate of Babbitt High School, Class of 1977. Career path, he worked at Johnson Sanitation Service, Phil's Cabinet Repair, Reserve Mining, Erie Mining, Foster Trucking, Kirscher Transport, and Trotter's North Dakota Oil Fields.
Charlie was a retired member of Range BPM's. He lived a life characterized by hard work, resilience, and a knack for fixing things that were broken. Charlie's hands were rarely still, and his heart was always open to helping others.
Charlie found joy in the great outdoors. He was an avid woodworker. He loved spending time with family and friends.
A special thanks is extended to Lucia Snodgrass, the mother of his children and a lifelong friend.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those he leaves behind, and his legacy will be cherished for generations to come.
Rest in peace, Charlie. Your journey on this earth was a testament to the strength and beauty of a life well-lived, and your memory will be held in the highest regard by all who were privileged to know you.
The memorial service was held on December 13, 2023 at the Range Funeral Home in Virginia. A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer by the BPM's.
