Casey James Oie

Casey J. Oie, 58, of Virginia, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at his residence. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Virginia at 1:00 pm with visitation one-hour prior. Pastor Joyce Piper will officiate. Casey James Oie was born January 15, 1960 in Duluth MN to Gordon and Mary (Aho) Oie. He graduated from Mountain Iron High School. Following high school, he attended the University of Wisconsin, Superior and Northwestern Chiropractic College. After college, he practiced chiropractics in St. Cloud and then owned several chiropractic offices in the Twin Cities, mainly working at his Hopkins office.

Casey loved hockey, playing through college. He also coached the Blake School Girls Hockey team to one State Title. He loved being a chiropractor and teaching about it. He also loved fishing, especially with his son, Grant.

Casey was kind, soft spoken, loved a good joke, and his laugh was contagious.

He is survived by:
Daughters: Madi Oie of San Francisco, CA and Morgan Oie of Minneapolis
Son: Grant Oie of Minneapolis
Sisters: Claudia Faith (Victor) of Duluth, Wendy Newcomb of Virginia, Dorothy Oie of Britt, and Sue Henke (Jerry) of Duluth
Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gordon
