Barbara A. Leon

Barbara "Bobbi" Ann Leon passed away peacefully on July 22, 2023, in Virginia, Minnesota. Born in Ely, Minnesota, on April 14, 1935, to Eva (Freilinger) and Theodore Leon, Bobbi brought joy and laughter to those who had the fortune of knowing her.

Bobbi was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Paul Leon, and sister, Glee (Burnett) Hofer. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her loving nieces, Joan Burnett, and Mary (Leon) Hilpisch, and nephews, John Burnett, Joe Leon, Ted Leon, Larry Leon, and Matt Leon.

A proud graduate of Ely High School, Bobbi moved to California early in her life where she worked for many years. She returned to Minnesota, purchasing a home in Britt with her good friend, Carol Taylor. She then worked at Hibbing Electronic before retiring.

Bobbi was known for her love for animals. Her home was a haven for her beloved dog, Sam, and her cat, Toby. Her face would always light up whenever she saw an animal, and her compassion for them was a testament to her kind and caring nature. She enjoyed music and the outdoors.

Bobbi's Catholic faith was important to her, and was a source of strength for her throughout her life.

Bobbi was a friend to all, and her absence will be deeply felt by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 31st at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 306 2nd Street South, Virginia. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Virginia.
