Arnold John Yuhala was born on May 20, 1934, and died on March 16, 2025 (St. Urho's Day) He was a true inspiration to his family, friends and community. He passed away peacefully at home at age 90. Born in Nashwauk (Cloverdale), Minn., Arnold lived a life of love, filled with family and friends.
He grew up milking cows on the family farm and graduated from Greenway High School. He met the great love of his life in Elsie E. Hardy, and they were married for 25,110 days (68 years, 9 months) ! He was a milkman for Rantala Dairy, raised Black Angus beef, managed the Nashwauk Federal Credit Union, and was an RV & outdoor power equipment dealer, all while being dedicated to his family.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie; Children, Maxine (Bruce) Orde, Randy (Carrie) Yuhala, Denise (Greg) Ozanich, Gary (Sara Krauth) Yuhala, Anita (Tim) Provinzino; his grandchildren & great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Eleanor Linnerud; Brother-in-law, Ken Scott; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many others he claimed with all his heart.
He was preceded in death by an infant son; Parents, Sulo and Aili Yuhala; Siblings, Armas Yuhala and Helen Scott; In-laws: Nancy Yuhala, Clayton Linnerud, Charlie & Evelyn (Billie) Hardy, Leonard & Marlene Hardy, Loran Hardy; and his bonus Son, Jack Soltis.
The family wishes to thank each of the staff of Fairview Home Care and Hospice who cared for him, plus all of the neighbors, friends and family who showed their kindness.
A celebration of life will be held on March 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Cloverdale (Nashwauk Township) Hall. Visitation from 12:30 -2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fairview Range Home Care and Hospice, Hibbing MN.
