Adeline Rita Bollig

Adeline Rita Bollig, age 88, of McKinley, died Thursday, February 8, 2018 at her home with family by her side. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gilbert at 11:00 am with visitation one-hour prior. Fr. Frank Perkovich will officiate. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Biwabik. Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home in Virginia. Adeline was born September 24, 1929 on the family farm in Sobieski, MN. Adeline was the daughter of Michael and Mary (Lashinski) Kedrowski and was the seventh of seventeen children. Adeline completed 6th grade at the St. Stanislaus Catholic School in Sobieski. Adeline married Matthew Bollig on January 23, 1957, moved to the Iron Range, and purchased a home in McKinley in 1962 where they raised their three daughters. Adeline was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family and playing cards.

Adeline is survived by her children: Julie (Jeff) Achman of Gilbert; Marie Salo (Rodney) of Tower; and Diane (Scott) Hildreth of Embarrass; grandchildren: Brian (Kate), Nathan and Amy Achman; Bonnie and Jessica (Leander) Salo, Matthew (Taylor) Hildreth and Michael Hildreth; great granddaughter Desarea Mattson; brother: Daniel Kedrowski of McKinley; sister Katherine (Ivan) Bollig of Cushing, MN; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Matthew, son Edwin, parents, 14 siblings and numerous extended family.
